Ras al-Ghoul: ruins at the top of the hill. In 668, the locals who did not wish to convert to islam took refuge in this castle. The islamic armies laid siege, and were surprised that it took so long, because they did not know that the castle had a well. When one of the locals who did become a muslim betrayed that secret, the soldiers dug a hole to cut the rope. The battle cost a lot of lives. Since then, this hill is know as the Ras al-Ghoul, mountain of the ghost.
