Old city of Ghadames: all mosques have benches, so that the men coming to pray can wait in confort. The benches closest to the mosque are reserved for the oldest men; the one further away are for the younger men. The women are completely separated from the men in Ghadames. They live in their houses and visit each other via the roofs, while the men use the streets.
